Case overview

Leah Morgan notices a small skin mark on Owen’s shoulder while they unload muddy camping gear. Three days later, he skips breakfast, says he is tired, and asks if he can stay home. Leah remembers every bug bite he has ever complained about, but this one is changing and the timing nags at her. At the dining table, she pulls up the weekend photos and writes down when the mark first appeared, where they spent the afternoon, and how Owen felt each day after they got home. A neighbor says it is probably nothing. Leah is not ready to decide that. She has to work out what belongs in a clear call for help and what could still be an ordinary setback. The case opens before any explanation has earned the last word.
